E-mails with Jimmy(Part II)
Already been announced on the official site that 'Jimmy plays in Vibe'.
It is said that he sings 'Boys Are Back In Town' with Southbound Band, the main act of the event.
He already got close relationship with Southbound Band. Again, impressed by his friendly character.
Then I sent E-mail to him and found he's been fine and cares of my health condition.
After few days I made a call to him and told my intention 'Not 100% sure yet but might be going to see Vibe'. Both Jimmy and I got excited… Then none of us could stop the voltage.
Jimmy : 'Are you sure to come ? The flight will cost a lot if you book from now'.
Satoshi : 'Don't mention about money, I knew it's expensive'.
Jimmy : 'I see… but we shall play together !'.
Satoshi : 'I do not bring a guitar this time.'
Jimmy : 'No worries, you can borrow it from anyone !'.
Satoshi : 'You will manage so but for me it's not easy...
Anyhow, I will enjoy the show as one of the audience. To meet up with you is an enough fan for me. Right, I decide now, let's meet in Dublin !'.
These above was the process up to my decision, however, the flight was actually very expensive...
The next E-mail from Jimmy was,
'Satoshi, let's play together in Pre-Vibe, I will negotiate with Smiley' (Smiley = the promoter of Vibe event)
But I had held my answer for a while.
Finally Jimmy made a call to me (making a call from his side is very uncommon)
'Satoshi, do you want to play or not ?'
This question awoke me up. I had been thinking that hesitant wills would automatically bring the harmless result for me. And when recognized it I got full of shame.
Suddenly started to think simply 'I should take the way that I want, no hesitation!' then dispelled my ill feeling that I'd been attributing to my disease.
I answered to him 'OK, let's play and let's enjoy !'
Even so still I had no intention to bring a guitar. Just considered to rent one in Dublin, just an acoustic guitar will do. This would be a good idea to play with him by acoustic guitars.
I forwarded this idea to Jimmy and he totally agreed, additionally he said 'we can play even on the streets !'.
We selected the numbers to play (4 numbers in total, 2 from my voice, and also 2 from him.)
The next thing to do was just meeting up with him in Dublin.
At that time, the end of year was nearly coming...
