Vibe for Philo '06 Part 4

The Day … 4th Jan.06
I went out for shopping in town then encountered with a guy, John Murphy.
We know each other since Vibe 2001 and strangely we meet in town by chance without any arrangements. During this trip we met for 3 times.
His appearance is a 'Punk guy' but I feel relief when with him, I mean I do not feel any constraint. (but I can say so only when he's not drunk.)
Then he invited to unknown spots for CD or gift shop then had lunch together.
In the afternoon, I moved to North Star Hotel where all the Vibe staffs were staying.
It was going to be a long day.
Since the structure was complicated inside the hotel I had difficulties to unlock each door and finally reached Jimmy's room. As expected he was sleeping with all the lights off.
I asked 'What did you do last night afterwards ?'
He answered 'Drank and party all night, went to bed at 8am'.
I was amazed to hear '8am' also his voice was crack. I thought we needed no hustle so I said 'Shall we cancel the practice ?
you can have a rest'.
But Jimmy said 'We do. No need a proper one but must confirm few points together'.
Then we checked 'Smooth mistake' point and few other things.
The atmosphere of the practice was different from the serious one on the previous day but I believed 'This relaxing mood will work well today.'
At 5:30pm, Jimmy and I stepped out to the venue, Vicar Street.
On the way we dropped into a restaurant probably it was the first meal for Jimmy.
Even thinking back, I had not seen Jimmy was eating meal during the days in Dublin.
Associated with Jimmy for dinner, my languorous feeling has been swept away.
Jimmy did not eat a lot and a large amount of food was left on the plate.
I joked 'Jimmy, try to eat them all otherwise scolded by your mama'
He just replied 'After few hours I sing, this is the right amount'.
Somehow, this comment made me nervous…
Jimmy was watching the wall in the restaurant. There were 4 pictures side by side with distance. They were snowy mountains or cliffs related with climbing.
Each picture had a comment such as 'Perseverance', 'Commitment', 'Vision' and 'Achievement' and with essay.
Jimmy skillfully compared those words to our situation.
His enthusiasm further more surpassed previous day.
I awoke myself from being self-satisfied with last night performance. I started practice for the lyric part which was incomplete.
We repeated those 4 words and lastly we added 'Smooth mistake' to them.
